Brief Biography: 

Born in West Africa, Francis qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in the United Kingdom and is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse accredited by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses. He has over 25 years of experience across youth, adult, public and private health care in Australia and the United Kingdom and has undertaken a range of roles, including clinical, managerial and educational.  He has also served as a Specialist Pharmaceutical advisor for a leading pharmaceutical company.

Francis has a strong interest in Trans-cultural Psychiatry.  His clinical practice includes psycho-cultural counselling and advocacy for refugees and immigrants, especially within the African community in Australia.   Currently Francis is the Clinical Director of Positive Mental Health Program, a company providing mental health support, counselling, psycho-social rehabilitation and community reintegration. He is also currently President of the Rotary Club of Greensborough and the President of the Mental Health Foundation of Ghana a charity organisation based in Australia and Ghana.

Francis is a Multi award winner – Living legend Award 2013 from Celebration of African Australian National Awards 2013; Meritorious Service Award Excellence in Multicultural Affairs 2013; Fellow of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses 2014; Community Leader Award African Media Awards 2014; Australia day Award 2015 and  Mental Health Nurse Achievement winner 2015.
