Brief Biography:

I am currently a Medical Anthropology PhD student at the University of Edinburgh. I graduated from the University of St Andrews with a joint degree in Psychology and Social Anthropology (June 2013) and obtained my MSc in Global Mental Health from the University of Glasgow. My personal and professional commitment is to contributing to the empowering of people suffering from mental distress/illness worldwide, with a strong focus on the more vulnerable communities at any given time or place. Having had previous exposure to, and experience in, India and Nepal, I am constantly working to deepen my understanding of the complexities of mental distress and ways of responding to the distress in India and Nepal.
