Our team
MHIN’s central platform is based at the Centre for Global Mental Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and is run in close collaboration with the World Health Organization’s Department for Mental Health and Substance Use. The central site also provides the platform for our regional hubs in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia. In each case the hub is run by a region-based team, enabling them to engage closely with regional innovators, policy-makers and implementers. Each site is represented in a Management Group which contributes to the routine functioning of MHIN. Our Advisory Group of leaders in global mental health research, practice, policy and advocacy guides strategic direction and provides key advice on the development of the platform.
This diverse collaboration facilitates MHIN’s primary role of helping members of the global mental health community make an impact by hosting, synthesizing and generating resources relevant to their practice and research interests. Our members are also able to contribute to the site, by sharing their own innovative work, organisational profiles, events and research, so that members can benefit from being part of the largest network in global mental health.
