I possess a degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Masters Degree conflict ,peace and strategic studies from Kaduna state University.
I currently work as the Gender officer at Kaduna state Aids Control Agency since 2014 to Build an, inclusive, and gender transformative programme strategy and implementation plan in collaboration with the team, partners and key stakeholders for the state and to recognize opportunities for innovative action and contribute to an environment where alternative viewpoints are welcomed, where the Stakeholders and teams work together, exchange information and coordinate activities.Lead the gender equality, diversity, and inclusion technical working group within the consortium structure; ensure regular meetings of the working group to develop guidance, plan activities, share lessons learned, and incorporate these into programme delivery.
worked with Society for Family health on piloting the Adolescent and young persons program in Kaduna and also on the project Societies tackling Aids through rights which encouraged communities to come together to find solutions for their challenges in rural communities around the state.
Together with stakeholders in Kaduna state we developed and implemented the Gender responsive organizational policies and Programs in responding to the HIV epidemic in the state.
Worked with National Aids Control Agency with other relevant stakeholders on Gender Mainstreaming Guidelines and training Manual, which was adopted in all Other states
I have strong organizational skills,I am result driven, goal oriented and also well Organized with good communication skills .
I am currently a psychological first Aider volunteer and mental health counselor,working atleast 10 hours a week with Mariacutty Youth Foundation and also volunteer at Anti Suicide and Depression Squad.
