Brief biography
Julian Eaton, a British psychiatrist, is Mental Health Director for CBM Global. His work involves engaging local actors to strengthen mental health systems, develop policy and legislation and guide implementation. He has published on issues relating to system strengthening, scaling up mental health services in low income countries and empowerment of service users. He lived for almost 15 years in West Africa, in Nigeria and Togo, from where he worked in countries across the region. Since 2015 he has been studying for a PhD, working with MHIN, and acting as Assistant Professor, at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
