An initiative of a group of prospective healthcare providers, the organization was born off the observation that the stigma surrounding mental health conditions (and those experiencing them) is due largely to the lack of information -and inevitable misinformation- about these disorders. Green-Aid Lotus is a novel organization that currently only runs a Twitter profile that makes information about specific mental health disorders available on a weekly basis, a program it calls "Mental Health Monday (MHM)". The logic is that while organizations exist that cater for the needs of people that might experience mental health conditions, it is essential that the general populace is availed with accurate information about these conditions if the de-stigmatization of mental health conditions is to come to be.

Our mission is to provide accurate and up-to-date information about mental health conditions, through various mass media, to the Nigerian populace.
