The Mandate Health Empowerment Initiative is centred on mental health promotion, care and psychosocial support through sensitization, advocacy and early intervention with a particular interest in school-age children and pregnant and nursing women in Africa.
Mission statement
Our mission is to promote mental health and psychosocial support in Nigeria and the rest of Africa through sensitization, advocacy, outreaches and the use of media houses (radio and televisions stations), community programs and school-based programs for parents, teachers and students. We want to build a mentally-healthy society across Africa where the whole African population is aware of its mental health status and therefore be equipped to prevent mental disorders.
