Our mission is to educate mothers and families about postpartum depression across Africa. We aim to provide free postpartum depression screening to expectant and new mothers and provide them with information about how to get professional help anywhere they are in Africa and to enable them to easily tell the symptoms when they start to experience them.
Postpartum Support Network Africa is a proud member of the task force that executed the first ever World Maternal Mental Health Day.
We have educated and screened over one thousand mothers in Nigeria. Our approach is holistic as we also encourage them to seek professional help when we detect that they are susceptible to postpartum depression. We are also building a network of professionals passionate about helping mothers suffering from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in Africa to ensure that African mothers get access to quality mental health care.
