Twogere Community Initiatives seeks to change the perceptions, attitudes and behaviors towards people living with mental health conditions in order to address the stigma and discrimination that they face. Young people with lived experience of mental health conditions thrive in supportive communities.
Twogere works in tandem with a mental health clinic to provide peer-to-peer support to young people experiencing mental health challenges and engage the wider communities through social contact events in which we share our own stories to empower others. We are engaged in a number of activities including:
- Creating awareness about mental health conditions
- Providing peer to peer support
- Professional mental health counselling
