Alishia Williams
Dr Alishia Williams is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
She previously held positions as a National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia EC Clinical Research Fellow and psychologist at the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression – a joint initiative of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia specialized in the development, evaluations and dissemination of internet-based interventions.
Dr Williams employs both experimental and clinical approaches in her research with the aim of translating basic cognitive findings into clinical outcomes for depression and anxiety disorders. Her current program of research is focused on the evaluation of novel intervention strategies that incorporate emergent technologies to assess and target cognitive processes, and to promote behavioural change and wellbeing.
