Anders Timms

I am the British Viking born in Africa (Tanzania to be precise). My first name translates from Dutch & German as “different” – a perfect fit. The letters of my name when re-arranged spell the word “Masterminds” = unique?!

I live with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder & complex-PTSD. My 28-career has resulted in professional expertise in Lean/Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, Learning & Development and I have 43 years of negative mental health lived experience.

My mental health roles since January 2018 are:

• Founder of "Depression, Anxiety & Bipolar disorder (DAB) – a peer support, community action and human rights protection charity. • Founder & CEO of “Masterminds” –enabling mental health suffers and carers of any age to start and grow their own businesses. • UK Country Executive Committee member of the Global Mental Health Peer Network (GMHPN). • Mental Health Ambassador for the British African Business Alliance (BABA). • Founding member of the Cheshire East Mental Health Partnership Board, bringing together the regional council, regional health service and regional not-for-profit organisations. • Vice-Chair of the East Cheshire Mental Health Forum - a service user group.
