Brief Biography: 

Dr Artin Mahdanian is certified as a psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC).  After completing his MD, Dr Artin worked as a general practitioner in rural areas before pursuing a Master of Science in Mental Health Research and a Medical Residency in Psychiatry at McGill University in Canada. He has collaborated as a visiting researcher in Global Mental Health at WHO in Geneva, Switzerland, and at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the UK. He completed his academic training with a postdoctoral clinical fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Johns Hopkins University in the USA.

His clinical and research interests include Mood/Anxiety/Trauma Conditions, Psychosomatic/Pain Medicine, Eclectic Dynamic Psychotherapy (Existential, ACT, CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic & Psychoanalytic psychotherapies), and Global Mental Health focusing on Human Rights and Recovery.
