Brief Biography: 

Connie Olwit earned her Bachelor of Nursing Science from Makerere University in 2008. She received her Master of Science in Nursing Mental Health from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Science, Dar-es-salam, Tanzania in 2012. In 2014, she joined University of Cape Town to pursue Master of Philosophy in Public Mental Health. Miss Connie Olwit has been a recipient of several honours and awards including Norwegian government scholarship under NOMA project and Alan J. Flisher Center for Public Mental Health from University of Cape Town, South Africa. After completing her Bachelors degree, she interned at Mulago National Referral Hospital in 2009 after which she worked as a Research Nurse in 2010 at Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration and as a Research Coordinator from 2013 to 2014 at WALIMU, Mulago hospital, Kampala. Miss Connie Olwit has presented her research work at different international scientific conferences and published some work. Currently, she is lecturing at the department of Nursing with the main interest in mental health, research, clinical work and looking forward to embarking on her PhD.
