Brief Biography: 

Doris was an Assistant Professor and Clinical Research Scientist focused on addictions neuroscience in the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry / CAMH Research Imaging Centre, before bailing on academia to pursue her passion for knowledge translation. She now coordinates MHIN activities and leads its Knowledge Exchange efforts on the LSHTM side.

UN resolution calls for a human rights approach to mental health services

On 01 July 2016, the UN Human Rights Council adopted a new Resolution on Mental Health and Human Rights, calling on Member States to view mental health care from a human rights perspective and to take action accordingly.
