Edward Nkurunungi

I have experience of both UK and Uganda mental health services and have brought my enthusiasm and experience in my leadership role within the Brain Gain Programme.  I have worked in a variety of roles within the user movement in Uganda including within Heartsounds Uganda where I was coordinator of this NGO.  I played a key role in determining the prefered choice of establishment to partner with during the formation of the Butabika-East London Link, while I was an inpatient in Hospital in East London.  As a returnee from the UK, my experience with UK and Uganda mental health services are especially insightful as they have informed my involvement.  I have been a strong promoter of the role of the service user voice and it's potential to influence services.
