Brief Biography: 

Dr. Jessica Magidson is an Assistant Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)/Harvard Medical School. She has clinical research interests in the areas of depression, substance use, and HIV medication adherence. Currently she is focusing on implementation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for adherence, substance use, and depression in HIV care in Cape Town, South Africa. In addition to research, she also conducts clinical work using CBT and mindfulness-based approaches for depression and anxiety.

Dr. Magidson received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Maryland and completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at MGH in Behavioral Medicine and postdoctoral fellowship in global psychiatry at MGH/HMS. She received her undergraduate degree Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2006.
