Brief Biography: 

Dr. Johann Ebenezer is a psychiatrist who was trained at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He founded the psychiatry department at Padhar Hospital, a rural Lutheran mission hospital in Madhya Pradesh, India. He started a rural community mental health project here called "Project Shifa" in 2014, which was nominated as a finalist for the BMJ Awards South Asia 2016 in the category "excellence in primary care delivery". He now hopes to be involved in starting distance education courses in mental health for primary care doctors, nurses and lay health workers.
