Juliana Lynn Restivo

Juliana is the Program Coordinator for the GlobalMentalHealth@Harvard Initiative and the Assistant to Professor Vikram Patel. Based in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, she is responsible for the administrative tasks, event programing, and communications of the Initiative as well as supporting Dr. Patel's administrative needs. She is also a Research Assistant on the National Institute of Mental Health funded U19 Scale Up Hubs project, ESSENCE (Enabling Science to Service to ENhance depression CarE)

She is experienced in qualitative research methods, higher education administration, program management, communications (web and print), and event planning. Her research interests include postpartum/maternal depression, women’s mental health, trauma, gender differences in mental health, family therapy, family and cultural influences on mental health, scaling up mental health services, and global mental health service delivery. She is passionate about using research to inform clinical care practices and service delivery initiatives so that all individuals and families can maximize their quality of life and reach their full potential mentally and physically. Her career goals are to continue this work by pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Prior to joining Harvard Juliana worked in the Department of Global Health at Boston University School of Public Health as the Events and Communications Specialist and the Executive Assistant to the Chair of the Global Health Department. She received her MPH degree from Boston University School of Public Health and her BS degree in Biology and Psychology from Loyola University Maryland.
