Brief Biography: 

Registered as a general medical practitioner, with a Master's degree in Applied Ethics. Currently an MPhil Public Mental Health fellow of the African Mental Health Research Initiative (AMARI). I have several years of experience working in public health policy, funding and management in the South African private health care sector, where I’ve worked in multidisciplinary teams to develop end-to-end public health solutions and products. Prior to entering the managed care environment, I worked as a medical consultant in employee wellness, and as a general practitioner in both the public and private health care sectors in South Africa, at all care levels ranging from a rural, district hospital, to tertiary teaching hospitals. My current research is on the participant profiles and outcomes in the collaborative mental health care programme I designed and led implementation of in the South African private health care sector.
