Lian Taljaard

Lian Taljaard is currently a Research Assistant at the South African Medical Research Council’s (MRC) Unit on Anxiety & Stress Disorders at the University of Stellenbosch.  He has completed his Master’s degree in Research Psychology from the University of South Africa, and has acquired knowledge and gained experience in the design, implementation, development and evaluation of studies using primarily quantitative methodologies. His areas of interests include neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience and psychopharmacology, and has largely focused on psychopathologies such as obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse and suicidal behaviours.
