Lina Fernanda Toncón Chaparro
Lina is a Colombian nurse. She has a postgraduate diploma in Public Health Management from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and completed a Master's in Global Health and Development at University College London.
She has previous experience in health promotion, occupational health, safety at work, and health management. Currently, she is working for a Colombian private health institution as a quality manager, and as a part-time research assistant at LSHTM.
Lina has researched the medicalisation of work, and the effects of air pollution on children’s health. Her current research interests are to explore, from an intersectional approach, the barriers to sexual and reproductive health care access that women and the LGBTQIA+ community face, particularly transgender and nonbinary people.
