Lori Hairrell
I am the program developer at ROW Foundation (ROW = "rest of world"). Our focus is on funding programs in epilepsy (and associated psychiatric disorders) that improve training for healthcare professionals, as well as narrowing epilepsy treatment gaps by providing EEG equipment and ongoing medication grants of anti-epileptic and psychiatric drugs to hospitals, clinics and patient organizations in under-resourced areas of the world.
Since 2015, ROW has collaborated with 51 partners in 26 countries.
GRANT HIGHLIGHTS: - 8 EEG units to hospitals in Armenia, India, Kenya, Republic of Georgia and Sudan and Uganda - Ongoing grants of branded-generic levetiracetam and lamotrigine to 20 epilepsy and psychiatry programs in 15 countries - Emergency humanitarian medication aid for Syrian hospitals and for patients facing drug shortages in Venezuela, and through global partners such as Direct Relief and Americares - Psychiatry training grant (Nigeria) as we expand beyond epilepsy and its psychiatric comorbidities
We believe in "One World. One Standard." and envision a future when the best treatments for epilepsy and associated psychiatric disorders will be available to all people, at all times, in all the world.
