Neha Kinariwalla
Neha hopes to integrate sociology into medicine in order to change the way physicians treat patients. The biomedical model often detracts from patient-centered care, and an increased incorporation of psychosocial treatment would be groundbreaking.
Neha is currently a Gates-Cambridge Scholar studying for an MPhil in Modern Society at Cambridge University. She will matriculate at Stony Brook School of Medicine for an MD in August 2015. Her ultimate goal is the diminish the treatment gap in epilepsy through capacity building while continuing efforts to destigmatize illnesses on a global scale.
