Brief Biography: 

Dr. Rabih El Chammay is a psychiatrist at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon where he currently teaches at the Faculty of Medicine. He has   special interest in Public mental health and more specifically in Refugee mental health.

He has been working on these topics in the MENA region with various UN agencies such as WHO, UNHCR and UNICEF and many iNGOs such International Medical Corps.

He is the head of the first national mental health programme at the ministry of public health in Lebanon. The programme will be focusing mainly for the first two years on up scaling the services to respond to the need of all the persons living in Lebanon including the Syrian and Palestinian refugees, developing a national strategy for mental health and pushing towards passing a mental health legislation.
