Brief Biography: 

Sarah Hodin joined the Women and Health Initiative/Maternal Health Task Force in June 2016 after receiving her MPH from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health with a concentration in maternal and child health. As Project Coordinator she works on the knowledge management and communications team, manages the MHTF-PLOS Collections and writes for the Maternal Health Task Force blog and newsletters.

Her interest in maternal health began during her undergraduate studies in medical anthropology at the University of Michigan where she interviewed women across East Africa about their birthing experiences. More recently, Sarah has worked as a research assistant at Ariadne Labs, a health systems innovation lab in Boston. Sarah is a certified birth doula and, in her spare time, she runs a nonprofit organization called Nyora Beads that sells fair trade jewelry and crafts to raise money for high school scholarships for children in Kenya.
