Brief Biography: 

Severus Hama-Owamparo is a psychologist, researcher, published author, wellbeing ambassador and human rights, defender. His work generally focuses on the intersecting issues affecting gender and sexual diverse individuals regionally and around the globe. These experiences have been pivotal in shaping his vocation.

Severus’ research has been published by The Annals of Theoretical Psychology and institutions like The Taala Foundation. He also sits on the board of Gender Dysphoria Alliance and he has also been central in propelling Trans*-focused research at the Infectious Disease Institute in Uganda.

When he is not immersed in his work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, listening to music, indulging in poetry, practising coding and playing with his dog, Suubi.
