This Case Studies Manual for mental health programmes is based on extensive field work on three continents and has been developed by mental health experts in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and CBM, along with local partners.
This manual has been developed as a tool for a systematic assessment of key aspects of community mental health programmes in low income countries. Theses key aspects include the context, history, programme model, client characteristics and management and finances. It also provides a framework for obtaining detailed information about programmes that is replicable, and can be used to evaluate programmes, or to compare programmes.
