The mhGAP Intervention Guide has been developed through an intensive process of evidence review including systematic reviews to develop evidence-based recommendations. The process involved a WHO Guideline Development Group of international experts, who collaborated closely with the WHO Secretariat. This document describes the methodology followed for the process of guideline development and the standard procedures and methods that were followed for the evidence review and formulation of recommendations.
