Global Humanitarian Response Plan: May Update (OCHA)
For the first time, there is a new MHPSS specific indicator included in the Global Humanitarian Response Plan (GHRP). Updated every six weeks, the GHRP was initially launched in March 2020 by the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) with input from the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC). The plan addresses the risks and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the most vulnerable people in countries affected by humanitarian crises or at high risk of facing a humanitarian crisis. In the May 2020 update, MHPSS is identified as relevant in all strategic priorities and across all sectors, and as an essential basic need for all vulnerable groups.
