Policy engagement can be a daunting exercise, and mental health researchers may not know where to begin or how to strengthen existing efforts.
The aim of this report is to inspire those who are hoping to inform policy through their work, by illustrating a number of different strategies which have proven successful in low-resource settings.
Stories of Change from the Global Mental Health Innovator Community was prepared by the Mental Health Innovation Network in collaboration with the Overseas Development Institute and with representatives from six global mental health innovations funded by Grand Challenges Canada:
- Africa Mental Health Foundation, Kenya
- FaNs for Kids, Pakistan
- Farm Radio International and TeenMentalHealth.org, Malawi and Tanzania
- Friendship Bench, Zimbabwe
- MAC-FI study, Vietnam
- QualityRights Gujarat, India
