UNICEF (2018) MHPSS in Emergencies Advocacy Brief

2019

UNICEF promotes a holistic, community-based approach to child protection programming, and is now working to reaffirm and better operationalize its MHPSS commitments in evolving humanitarian contexts and crises through launching and rolling out of UNICEF’s Operational Guidelines “Community-Based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Humanitarian Settings: Three-Tiered Support for Children and Families”. UNICEF further describes its approach, through an Advocacy Brief on MHPSS in Emergencies in which UNICEF calls for the collective action to create and sustain positive change for children through key asks for policymakers, donors, national governments, civil society, and implementing agencies.
