When an adverse event or an extreme stressor occurs in someone's life, an entire system of people is also affected and one must take the time to understand the system that the person is living in whether it consists they consist of blood or non-blood kin, co-workers or friends, household members, loved ones, respected colleagues, current and even ex- or future spouses.
