Tessa Roberts
Tessa is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate working on INTREPID II (International Research Programme on Psychoses in Diverse Settings), a 5 year multi-country programme investigating the variability - in incidence, presentation, outcome, and impact - of psychotic disorders in India, Nigeria and Trinidad.
Tessa's PhD research was nested within PRIME (PRogramme for Improving Mental health carE), a multi-country programme to implement and scale up integrated packages of care for mhGAP priority mental disorders in primary and maternal health care. Her research focussed on barriers to treatment-seeking for depression in India.
Tessa has a background in school-based family interventions, international education and project coordination. She holds a degree in psychology and philosophy from the University of Oxford and has completed a Master's in Global Mental Health at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and King's College London, during which she conducted research into implementation challenges and key drivers in Global Mental Health.
